A hilarious and poignant Vancouver-based mockumentary following the misadventures of two aspiring actors in pursuit of a dream career in competitive Hollywood North. Now in its third season, The Actress Diaries is a female-centred comedy that intimately, and at times awkwardly, follows Australian, Lisa Kimberley Hughes and her best friend, Canadian, Kate Bateman, as they breathe life into the show’s tagline, it’s hard to find yourself when you’re playing a part.
Training Wheels

After Jack, a hardened detective, shoots a Youtube prankster, he is demoted to Vancouver Bike Patrol and partnered with the Deputy Chief’s niece Jess, a naïve but book-smart rookie officer. Jack’s now the butt of jokes in the precinct, hates his new job and finds Jess equal parts annoying and exhausting. That is until they unwittingly stumble across a big case involving the mob and a black market weapons deal. Instead of reporting it to their superior officers, they take it on themselves in hopes of a promotion. That decision leads to a partnership break up, Jess’s kidnap, Jack’s suspension, and an unlikely friendship.
Similar in tone to Orange is the New Black and Hot Fuzz, Training Wheels is an action comedy series that handles serious issues and real danger, where the jokes fly like bullets and the bullets fly like…well, bullets.
